Postal Service Reports Delays After an Entirely Ordinary Mechanical Disagreement

East Tower deliveries are running late after a regulator and a postal engineer apparently disagreed about how machinery should behave.

Lower Quarter Pressure Drops; Residents Attempt Traditional Repair Method: Hitting the Gauge

The Ventorn Postal Service has announced delays on the East Tower Line after what officials described as “an entirely ordinary mechanical disagreement.” The disagreement involved one pressure regulator, two engineers and a spanner that was present at the beginning of the incident but could not be found by the end.

Letters and small parcels are still moving through the system, although some may arrive ten to twenty minutes late. Residents have been asked not to stand beneath the maintenance platform shouting advice. This request was added after six people did exactly that, including one man who suggested “hitting the round bit.”

A postal worker later confirmed that engineers had already considered hitting the round bit and had rejected the proposal on professional grounds. The missing spanner has now been found in the engineer’s back pocket. Service is expected to return to normal as soon as nobody else offers to help.
