Modified pressure kettles may only be sold with an approved safety mark and compliant fittings.
MARKET SAFETY NOTICE
Modified pressure kettles offered for sale at Copper Market must carry an approved safety mark and comply with current pressure-vessel requirements.
Inspectors may examine devices fitted with non-standard gauges, reinforced lids, auxiliary pipework or controls not listed in the approved design. Traders must be able to identify the purpose of all fitted valves and controls.
Handwritten assurances are not a substitute for certification.
