Postal Bird No. 7 delivered a complaint form to the Central Postal Office this morning. The form had been left blank on a sorting desk. No. 7 picked it up. The bird carried it through the internal route.
It then delivered the form back to the same office through the official incoming slot. A clerk stamped it RECEIVED before noticing what it was. The form has therefore entered the complaints system. It contains no written complaint.
The Postal Service is debating whether a blank complaint from a bird must be processed. One supervisor says no. Another says the stamp makes it official. No. 7 is sitting above both supervisors and appears satisfied. A meeting has been scheduled. This may be exactly what the bird wanted.
