Canal Lock Numbers — Plate Inspection
Canal crews are checking brass lock-number plates after one plate rotated in its fitting.
CANAL IDENTIFICATION NOTICE
Canal Operations is inspecting number plates and directional markers along the central route after a loose plate was found at Lock 6.
Boat crews and delivery workers should continue using official route maps together with fixed lock numbers. Damaged, loose or unreadable plates may be reported to the Canal Office.
No lock closures are expected during this work.
