Blue-painted municipal valves are maintenance controls and must not be operated by the public.
PUBLIC EQUIPMENT NOTICE
Blue-painted municipal valves are maintenance controls used by City Engineering. The colour identifies specific controls for authorised crews and does not indicate public access.
Residents must not turn, test, reposition or attach unofficial signs to blue-marked valves. Faults, leaks or damaged labels should be reported to City Engineering instead.
Replacement warning plates are being installed where required.
