A queue of nine people formed outside an Oven Court bakery twenty minutes before opening today. The baker had advertised no special product. The first person says he was merely waiting for a friend. The second assumed the first knew something. The third trusted the existence of two people.
By the time the door opened, nobody could explain what the line was for. The baker placed ordinary bread on the counter and sold nearly all of it within twelve minutes. One customer asked whether there would be another queue tomorrow.
The baker has declined to schedule one. Residents are reminded that a line of people may indicate demand, confusion or simply several people standing in approximately the same direction.
