Rain Barrel Overflows into Wheelbarrow; Wheelbarrow Declared Temporary Pond

Overnight rain created a very small body of water and an immediate dispute over terminology.

Rain Barrel Overflows into Wheelbarrow; Wheelbarrow Declared Temporary Pond

A rain barrel behind a Lower Quarter workshop overflowed overnight and filled a wheelbarrow parked beside it. By morning the barrow contained several inches of clear water and two floating leaves.

An apprentice called it a pond. The workshop owner called it poor parking. A neighbour suggested adding a tiny bridge. This was rejected before materials could be sourced. No fish were introduced, despite at least one proposal.

The water has been emptied into a drain and the wheelbarrow returned to work. The rain barrel outlet has been extended. The apprentice maintains that Ventorn has lost one of its smallest natural attractions.
